On July 23 - 31 (Sat - Sun), Onojo city is going to welcome 13 exchange students annually. All of them are high school students and their chaperones from Vermont in the United States.

I'll be a volunteer interpreter for them and my first role is supporting them as a master of ceremony for their "welcome party" on July 23 ! I'll make a manuscript for the ceremony in Japanese and English!

And at the end of July, I'll take them to their work experience at the companies and offices, so I have to tell them how to get the train and bus tickets to get there.

I'm so excited, partly because the vice chairman of the International Exchange Association requested me to be the volunteer interpreter directly. We became acquaintances when I took part in the English speech contest the end of last year, so she recommended me to be the interpreter!

The information obtained from the high school students of other countries will be very exciting for me. One of my friends volunteered to be a host family and welcoming 17 year old boy Cameron.
I'm looking forward to meeting them !

７月２３日（土）～３１日（日）、大野城市では毎年この時期にアメリカのバーモント州から交換留学生の受け入れを行っております。今年は１３名の生徒さんたちと、その付き添いの先生たちです。

私は彼らのサポートの一環として通訳ボランティアをおこないます。最初の大役は７月２３日のウェルカムパーティーで司会を務めることです！　日本語はもちろんのこと、英語でも司会の原稿を作ります。

そして７月末には、彼らの職業体験として、電車の乗り方や切符の買い方などを教えながら職場まで引率する予定です。

昨年末の英語スピーチコンテストで初めてお目にかかった国際交流協会の副会長の方から直々に司会や通訳ボランティアの依頼をいただきました。ありがたいことです。

海外から来られる高校生たちからどんな情報が得られるか、楽しみです。

私の友人はホストファミリーとして１７歳のキャメロン君を受け入れる予定になっています。彼らに会うのが楽しみです！
