We Japanese have the "Obon" vacation in the middle of August
annually. I introduce to you the economic effect that people would spend the time
and money in Japanese "Obon" season as a financial planner.
JR(Japan railway group companies) announced that the reservation numbers of tickets in this August of Shinkansen and conventional lines have been increasing to 8% compared with last year, and became 2.95 million seats.
The reason for this soaring of numbers is many tourists wanted to reserve the tickets discounted by the program for reconstruction of Kumamoto earthquake disaster.
Many Japanese people spend money in Obon season, so the economic effect is surely exist. We also have had a new national holiday of "The Mountain Day" on August 11 since this year. We hope that many Japanese would have longer summer vacations to spend the time with their families.
I also visited my parents' house and enjoyed chilling out with my parents
and my brother, and visited my grand parents' grave. We'll hold the celebration
of my father's seventieth birthday in next January. I'm expected to meet my relatives there.

私たち日本人は、毎年８月中旬に「お盆」の時期を迎えます。
今回私はＦＰらしく、「お盆の期間に日本人が費やす時間とお金が経済に与える影響」についてご紹介したいと思います。
ＪＲグループはこの８月の新幹線と在来線の座席予約数が、前年比８％増の２９５万席を記録したと発表しました。
予約数の急増の原因としては、熊本地震に対する復興プログラムの割引チケットを求める予約客が殺到したことが一つとして考えられます。
日本人の多くがお盆の期間中に出費をすることが分かっているので、その経済効果は確たるものです。
また今年から新たに８/１１が「山の日」として祝日に加わったこともあり、長期休暇を取りやすい環境になっているようです。ご家族で過ごす長めの夏休み休暇がとれるといいですね。
私もお盆休みには実家を訪れ、両親や弟と久しぶりにおしゃべりしたり、祖父母のお墓参りに行ったりが慣例です。来年には実父の古希のお祝いも予定されていて、そこでまた親戚に会うのも楽しみの一つです。
