The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Tecchnology announced that they are going to introduce the new test to reform the system of college entrance examination in 2020.
In terms of subjects, English tests will be conducted including skills of not only "Reading" and "Writing" but also "Speaking" and "Listening".
In order to respond to that test system, the principal of my son's cram school told me that they will have new English conversation classes by Shane teachers which are supporsed to be an extra 20 minutes for newly enrolled students and current students from this April.
(Cost that parents pay will not change.)
The average amount of the enrollment fee of the National University is about 280,000yen.
It's worth paying for parents.

科目別にいうと、例えば英語の試験の場合、今までの「読む」「書く」の技能に加え、「話す」「聞く」を含む４技能で総合的に判断されることになるのです。
この新しい試験制度に対応するため、私の息子が通う塾の塾長からは、
新たに入塾もしくは在校の生徒に対して４月から英会話の授業が20分間追加されることになると聞きました。（受講料は現在と変わりません）
国立大学の入学金の平均額は約２８万円と言われています。
親にとっては、払う価値があったと思いたいですね。
