The price of crude oil (petroleum) was 115 US dollars per barrel as of 2014 that reached a record high.
But it has been decreasing to about 30 US dollars.
The price has decreased by 75% of the total.
The other day I filled my car up with thirty liters of gasoline.
The price was 98 yen per liter.
I think the price has gone through the floor.
The low gasoline price should be welcomed for consumers, as it will cause discounts for the products made from oil.
The reasons of the decreasing crude oil price are that the United States has been increasing the production of shale gas, China has a declining demand for oil, and OPEC hasn't cut the oil production.
It's not just a good thing...

2014年のピーク時には１バレル115ドルだった原油価格ですが、現在では75％下落し30ドル前後で推移しています。
先日、ガソリンを30リッター給油しましたが、そのときのガソリン価格は98円/ℓでした。これは底値でしょうか・・。
消費者にとっては歓迎すべき価格の下落ではありますが、裏を返せば原油を材料とした製品の下落にもつながるワケで・・。
原油価格がなぜ下落しているのか？その背景には、米国のシェールガス増産による過剰供給や、中国での原油需要減退のほか、石油輸出国機構（ＯＰＥＣ）が減産に踏み切らないことなどがあります。
