Tokyo stocks slipped 0.69% in the morning of the first trading day of the year following a weak batch of U.S. data and as oil prices hit new multi-year lows.
東京株式市場は、原油価格の下落とアメリカの経済指標の弱さにともない、新年初日の午前の取引から前年最終日比0.69％の下落でスタートした。
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, which gained more than 7% in 2014, fell 119.99 points to 17,330.78 by the break on Monday, while the Topix index of all first-section shares shed 0.72%, or 10.09 points, at 1,397.42.
東京証券取引所の日経225銘柄の指標は前年には７％の上昇となったが、月曜の寄り付きまでに119.99円下落の17,330円78銭で取引された。東証株式TOPIXのトップランキング指数においても0.72％、10.09ポイント下落の1,397.42で取引された。
